Our family likes going to the coast in the Winter. Because it is a lot quieter. Well, that is not entirely true. There are less people on the beach, less loud music, less oiled and sweaty bodies on the sand. But the weather is quite another story. There is a wonderful mix of both sunshine and storms. Placid or roiling waves. And best of all very few people. I like those times best. I usually wear a sweater or jacket and swim trunks. Not that I intend every time I go down to the beach to jump onto the surf, but I’m dressed and prepared if I get a wild notion!
