Impressionist painting of green trees with a blue sky

Welcome again to Brush and Blade. My love for painting began on vacation 6 years ago in Gulf Shores, Alabama. While vacationing one of the paintings in the condo caught my wife’s eye. After negotiations failed to purchase the painting from the condo’s owner, my wife asked if I could paint a similar piece. Having painted some in college I knew the basics and created two painting that hung in our house for many years. After those first two paintings, it became a tradition for me to paint on vacation. When I retired it became my passion. I have gifted and sold several dozen paintings since that vacation. I am still loving the creative process and then wishing the new owners of the painting, happiness and joy.

My art is a heartfelt expression of the unparalleled beauty and deep serenity I am privileged to witness and experience the landscapes and subjects of the Deep South. With my paint brush or blade and the blending of acrylic hues, I earnestly attempt to convey the rich tapestry of vibrant colors and profound emotions found in the intricate creations of both nature and man.
