I am officially old. A month ago, I was staring at a blank canvas and wondering what it would become. Ideas for a subject are not hard to come by for me. But narrowing it down to one does take some mental work. My wife came into the living room where I was set up and asked if I would mind listening to some music. It seemed like a great idea and before I knew it, I was listening to a selection of golden oldies. Chicago? Golden Oldies? Where has the time gone? Needless to say, the painting’s name matches a favorite song of mine, the brush and paint did the rest of the work. After several hours and a couple of breaks the music was still playing, and the painting was finished. I guess sometimes inspiration can be found on the radio dial.
