In this painting I wanted to create a historic lighthouse from a forgotten time. The painting's ancient vibe is enhanced through the use of different methods and treatments to infuse it with the aura of yesteryears and worn and the aging brought on by time. Perhaps this piece was once considered old-fashioned and out of style by its owner. The painting must have been stowed away in an attic, where it remained hidden until a fresh set of eyes discovered it. Intrigued by its age and historical charm, it could soon grace the walls of a new family's home.
