Photographs taken on a long-ago trip to Glacier NP do not begin to approximate the unforgettable beauty everywhere I went. With the passage of time my memories have become more vivid as those old photos lose their majestic edge.  

If it’s true, and I believe it is, that the best paintings are a recollection and depiction of feelings and emotions rather than a rote reproduction of a place, Basin may find a place in your heart, or in the memory of a special person in your life. Perhaps this was a Smokey Mountain sunrise, or some other place you hold dear in your memory.  I hope that this painting transports you to that unforgettable place and the way that it made you feel.
